Today on my 2.0 lesson I learned about web-based applications and I must admit this is something I did not know was available. As I browsed around the many applications I found thinkfree.com to be the most appealing to me. I spent most of my time at this site and found several documents that could be used at work as well as home such as keeping inventory of your product, whatever it may be, or simple home budgets.

The most important aspect of the web-based apps. is how easy they are to use unlike some of the downloaded documents.

Online apps are the bomb, I will agree with you on that one! You have to be careful, though, I used Thinkfree.com to hold my powerpoint presentation for the XML conference I went to in Boston last year and it ate the last half of it. I missed the first sessions of the day, because I was busy recreating my presentation that I was giving at 10am. If I hadn't have gone over the slides during breakfast that morning...

Anyway - the use of online apps is fabulous and great - but don't forget to have a "good" offline copy for use if it's a really important doc!
